My expertise is in teaching people how they either create health or create dis-ease by the choices they make. I am an expert in plant-based nutrition, lifestyle medicine, fitness, and fasting. I have been working with people with thyroid disorders, hormone imbalances, autoimmune disease, cardiovascular disease and cancer for over 12 years.
I teach people how to navigate their way back to health by empowering them with the tools they need in order to do so.
I have the secret to health....(I bet you've heard that one before), but, the truth is - so do you! That secret power is in each and every one of us, we just have to step out of the way and provide the correct environment in order for the body to heal and thrive. My passion and joy comes from teaching people how they can create the health they want and deserve so that they can LIVE LIFE to the fullest! Break the laws of nature and they will eventually break you.
I teach patients how to get back in touch with their natural environment and diet utilizing the body's own innate power to heal itself when given the right environmental and nutritional conditions.
In order for the body to heal certain conditions need to be met. Conditions such as clean water, appropriate amounts of sunshine, clean fresh air, whole food, plant-based nutrition, adequate sleep/rest, periodic fasting, stress management, exercise/movement. Getting back in touch with the "healing power of nature". It turns out that what is best for your health is also best for our planet and all species that call this planet home. Human beings have lost touch with nature and the natural laws that govern this planet and all life. In order to create the health we want we must understand that we are NOT separate from nature, we are a living part of it. Old-time Naturopathic Doctors called this "Nature Cure", they understood that humans are an integral part of the natural world and if we break the laws that govern it, those laws will eventually break us.
Human Nutrition and Health.
So many people are confused as to what the "optimal" diet should be for human health. There are fad diet gurus that promote high fat, high protein, "Paleo" type diets that are making people sick. It's time that we understand that the only diet style that promotes human health is a diet based on whole, unprocessed plant foods. This is the only nutrition plan that is based in science. Don't be fooled into thinking otherwise.
I believe that health is created by living healthfully, not by taking pills. Included in that formula is behaving in a way that promotes not only human health, but the health of the entire planet and all species who call that planet home. We are all an integral part of the intricate web-of-life. That means respect and care for all life.
